Jim McGuire was born in Skidegate, British Columbia in 1953 and is a direct descendant of renowned Haida carver Charles Edenshaw.
He is best known for his very high quality silver and gold Jewellery although he has also created a number of limited edition prints.
His work is contemporary but also follows traditional Haida formlines and his consistency in style and design have made his work a popular choice.
